The Department of Physics at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) successfully conducted an interactive session titled "From Lab to Market" on 21-04-2025, featuring Dr. T. Boobalan, Research Scientist and Chief Guest of the day. This session was a part of the collaborative activities under the MoU between KPRIET and Westechpower Pvt. Ltd., Maharashtra, a leading company specializing in supercapacitor technology and energy storage solutions.
Dr. Boobalan captivated the audience with his in-depth insights on transitioning innovative research from laboratory scale to commercial viability. Drawing from his own journey, he highlighted the practical challenges and opportunities involved in technology transfer, product development, and industry-academia collaboration.
The session was highly interactive, with active participation from research scholars and faculty members. Participants gained valuable perspectives on aligning academic research with industrial demands, protecting intellectual property, and the critical steps involved in commercialization.
