The alumni lecture series titled "Life of an Intern" featured two inspiring speakers: a Delivery Data Analyst intern from Turing and an Associate Developer intern from Thoughtworks. The session aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and corporate life by offering students a realistic view of internship experiences in top tech firms. The speakers shared their day-to-day responsibilities, onboarding processes, technical challenges, and tools used in their respective roles, such as data pipelines, agile methods, test-driven development, and pair programming. They emphasized the significance of communication skills, adaptability, and team collaboration, alongside the importance of being proactive and receptive to feedback. Students were also guided on how to prepare for internships through resume building, personal projects, and professional networking.
