The Department organized a two-day Spring Boot Workshop for students to enhance their technical skills in backend application development. The session began with an introduction to the evolution of Java frameworks and the advantages of Spring Boot in simplifying complex enterprise projects. The resource person explained the features of auto-configuration, dependency injection, and project setup using Spring Initializr.
Practical demonstrations were given on building REST APIs, handling JSON responses, and integrating databases using Spring Data JPA with MySQL. Students actively participated in coding exercises that included CRUD operations and exception handling. The workshop also introduced advanced topics such as microservices, authentication using JWT, and Spring Security for securing APIs.
The participants were provided with real-time project case studies and best practices for clean coding, version control, and deployment strategies. The interactive Q&A sessions helped students clarify their doubts and strengthen their understanding of backend development.
Faculty members and students appreciated the resource person for delivering a session that was both knowledge-rich and practical. The event concluded with excellent feedback, highlighting its effectiveness in bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world industry practices.
