Summary

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized one day workshop on “Embedded System Design using STM32 Microcontroller” on 09.10.2025 (Thursday) for the benefit of third year EEE students. The objective of the workshop was to provide participants with hands-on exposure to embedded system concepts and programming using the STM32 microcontroller platform, which is widely used in modern industrial and academic applications.

Dr. K. Mohanasundaram, Prof & Head of the Department / EEE, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of bridging theoretical knowledge with practical implementation skills.

The technical sessions were handled by Dr. S. Suryaprakash, Senior Engineer, Bosch Global Software Technologies, Coimbatore, who demonstrated STM32 architecture, peripheral interfacing, and programming using STM32CubeIDE. Participants were guided through practical exercises on GPIO control, sensor integration, and communication protocols. The hands-on training enabled the students and faculty members to gain real-time experience in developing embedded applications

The workshop received an enthusiastic response, with over 50 participants, including students and faculty. The interactive sessions encouraged participants to clarify their doubts and discuss real-world project ideas based on embedded systems. Ms. R. Revathi, Assistant Professor II / EEE has delivered the vote of thanks.
