Summary
The event was organized on 21/01/2023 in Thanam hall. It began with an intro speech on 'What is IJIAA' by Mrs.Saranya R(faculty coordinator - KPRIET IJIAA Forum aka Japanese club) around 10:00 A.M.
With that, the event began as per Agenda. A quick history of Japan and its culture was played followed by explaining 'What is Katana'(a traditional Japanese sword which plays an important role in Japanese Culture) by Chiranjeevi D K.
After that, a play(with Salem Noel Jothik D, Sudarshan and Bharath V M) was made in front of the Audience on how to use Japanese phrases in a conversation that we were about to teach them.
Following it, basic greetings which are used in daily life of a Japanese, self introduction in Japanese and honorifics that are used by the Japanese in daily life were taught to the audience and they were made to repeat it by reading the fliers which was given to everyone.
An AMV of Anime was played as a short break and the session was continued with the next part of the event 'Origami'. The Origami of Crane was performed by Muthuraj B in front of the Camera which was directly connected to the projector and the audience were able to get the crane by folding the paper step by step with the help of volunteers.
At last, the session on how to use chopsticks was performed by Saketh S. Each participant was given a set of Chopsticks and were taught how to use it.
At the end, every participant received the certificate for participating in the Japanese Cultural workshop.
