Dr. Nisha Soms, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, KPRIET delivered the welcome address to the chief guest and august gathering. Mr. Naveenkumar M, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, KPRIET introduced the chief guest. Ms. Ragavi R, Software developer, HalleyX, Coimbatore gave a brief introduction about the rapid growth and demand of applications used by people across the world. Designing an application is an art that has to be procured through practice. Hence she initiated our students to incorporate the learning of full stack as a daily practice. The demand for engineers who are able to solve people's needs is growing exponentially. Ragavi kick-started the mood of her presentation by explaining the various stages of web app development and sharing its resources as well. The tools, for the front end and the back end, were also discussed such as sketch, adobe XD, Figma, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc. MongoDB is a document database used to build highly available and scalable internet applications. With its flexible schema approach, it's popular with development teams using agile methodologies. Since MongoDB is widely used Ragavi emphasized our students train themselves in MongoDB. Likewise, Node Package Manager (NPM) is popularly used as a front-end tool. NPM is actually a package manager for JavaScript. It helps us to discover and install packages of reusable code in our programs. At the end of the session, students and faculty personally interacted with Ragavi regarding her company projects and our mini-projects to which she cleared every doubt patiently.
