PARENTS MEETING 2023, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

The parents’ meeting was convened on 11.03.2023 (Saturday) at 10.00 am in Thanam Hall.

As per the schedule, the parents’ meeting was convened on 11.03.2023 (Saturday) at 10.00 am in Thanam Hall. Prof. S. Vivekanandan, Assistant Professor (Sl.G), Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has welcomed the parents for the meeting. Dr. K. Mohana Sundaram, Professor & Head, presided over the function and presented the Vision & Mission, Salient features of the Department & Institution to the parents. Prof. G. Saravanan, Assistant Professor (Sl.G), delivered the vote of thanks. The meeting was attended by around 110 parents.

Points discussed by the Department HoD to the Parents:
Ø  The HoD appreciated the parents for attending the meeting and expressed the importance of this meeting.
Ø  The HoD shared that the grand conduction of events like Corporate Day 2023 and FIESTAA 2023 during the year.
Ø  The HoD briefed about the progress made by the students, 200+ online course certifications in department, 40+ NPTEL courses and 210+ webinars, 108+ project presentation, 220+ quiz programs, 140+ paper presentation, 30+ conference presentation, 65+ Hackathon attended by students.
Ø  The HoD said that more than 30 webinars are organized in the department with the resource persons from IITs, NITs and MNCs and happily shared that 10 of the faculty members delivered their lecture in various institutes.
Ø  The HoD shared about the smooth conduction of INNOVATE 2023 exclusively for polytechnic students.
Ø  The HoD explained about the ongoing three categories of training and placements classes for the students Viz. Full stack, Aptitude training and Soft Skills.
Ø  The HoD explained about the internship opportunities at ABB, Siemens, Ashok Leyland, etc., also shared the importance of armed forces.
Ø  The HoD happily announced that the two student projects have won prizes in NIT Silchar and IIT Delhi project contest.
Ø  The HoD expressed that third-year students won 2nd prize in KPRIET INNOVSENSE Campus project during this year.
Ø  For final year students, 100 students got received offer letter and undergoing their internship in various blue-chip companies till date. Also, last year, the placement was 100%. Many efforts have been taken to achieve 100% placement this year. Necessary steps are also being taken to attract core companies for placement.
Ø  More than 15 students are undergoing NCC cadet training and won B certification.
