To learn the possibilities of 'Classroom Manager' in LabSoft software provided by Lucas-Nuelle, Germany

The training session was conducted to familiarize the faculties with the 'Classroom Manager' tool built in LabSoft software provided by Lucas-Nuelle, Germany. This tool provides the course co-ordinators to create user profiles for individual students with no upper limit on the number of students. The centre manager or course coordinator can add faculty profiles as groups. Doing so allows mapping of students to the faculties according to the course structure.
Classroom manager also enables faculties to edit the existing content and experiments in the LabSoft Modules. It opens up new possibilities by allowing the creation of a completely new course content and experiments, which would immediately be made available to students in their computer systems. The software also allows the faculty to monitor each student's computer system on the monitor of the faculty's computer system. The faculty can thus observe and track the progress of student via his/her system, and can also broadcast the one system to another in cases like in the correct execution of an experiment, common faulty procedure to avoid etc.
The faculty also can use the classroom manger to prepare an exam. When the student log's in the system, he/she will immediately see the exam paper on screen with timer and other facilities similar to online exams being conducted worldwide. This enables the usage CoE for Robotics and Excellence as an exam centre along with being a medium for students to experience the world of robotics and automation.
The session was quite intuitive and helped the faculties understand the possibilities the 'Classroom Manager' tool provides.
