CAREER OPTIONS AND HIGHER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES IN GERMANY, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

A seminar was organized by the Centre for Foreign Languages in collaboration with KPR International Centre on 3rd April, 2023 in Veena Hall for the II and III-year engineering students who are interested to pursue higher education or a career in Germany. The resource person for the event was Mr.Sakthi B who is pursing his masters in Mechatronics Engineering in the Technical University of Rosenheim, Germany and also works in Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG. The seminar was attended by 60 students from the II and III years from various fields of engineering.
Mr.Sakthi B enlightened our students on various aspects related to pursuing higher education in Germany, including the importance of taking German language courses, the use of the DAAD site for exploring study options, the selection of universities and courses, job opportunities, visa processing, and part-time job opportunities. He also highlighted the advantages of pursuing higher education in Germany and encouraged the students to consider the vast opportunities that Germany offers, especially in the fields of engineering, computer science, and business management. He emphasized on the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge and cross-cultural communication skills along with an overview of the current job market and the skills that are in great demand for engineers in Germany.
The seminar ended with an interactive Q&A session where the students had the opportunity to interact with the resource person. The students found the seminar very informative and appreciated the opportunity to learn about career options and higher education opportunities in Germany.
