The Poster Presentation event was a great success, providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and creativity in developing sustainable solutions using computer technology. The event also highlighted the importance of environmental sustainability in the digital age and encouraged students to take an active role in addressing environmental issues through technology.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Poster Presentation event as part of FIESTAA'23 on 16.02.2023, from 2-4 pm. The theme of the event was "Digital Revolution for Environmental Sustainability and Green Computing", which aimed to encourage students to develop innovative solutions using computer technology to address environmental issues. The event was coordinated by Mr. Jai Adithya K, a second-year student of CSE. The faculty coordinators and juries for the event were Dr. R. Sivaramakrishnan, Asst. Prof. (Sr. G), Ms. S. K. Geetha, Asst. Prof. (Sr. G), and, Ms. K. B. Sri Sathya Asst. Prof. (Sr. G) from CSE, who provided their expertise in evaluating the posters presented by the teams.
A total of 7 teams, consisting of 13 participants, participated in the event. The teams presented their posters, which showcased their innovative solutions for environmental sustainability using computer technology. The posters included a range of topics, such as energy-efficient computing, e-waste management, and sustainable data centers. The judges evaluated the posters based on criteria such as creativity, originality, and effectiveness in addressing environmental issues. After careful consideration, the judges announced the winners of the event.
Three prizes were awarded to the top three teams, and one special prize was given to a team that demonstrated exceptional creativity and innovation in their solution. The winners were presented with certificates and cash prizes, and their posters were displayed in the department for further recognition. The details of winners as follows:
