The ASCE Student Chapter of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology organized an informative orientation program on September 22, 2023, at 3:15 PM in II Year Classroom. The event was designed for second-year students to familiarize them with the activities and opportunities offered by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter. The program featured Mr. Manobharath, President of ASCE Student Chapter, and Ms. Vinumithra, Vice President, who conducted a demonstration for membership registration and provided an introduction to the ASCE student chapter. The event commenced with a warm welcome by the ASCE Student Chapter team, setting the tone for an informative session. Mr. Manobharath explained the mission and goals of the ASCE Student Chapter, emphasizing its role in enhancing the academic and professional development of civil engineering students. Ms. Vinumithra conducted a step-by-step demonstration on how to register for ASCE student chapter membership, making the process accessible to all interested students. And they elaborated on the benefits of joining ASCE, including access to resources, networking opportunities, workshops, and conferences that can contribute to a student's holistic growth.
