The Department of Civil Engineering at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology organized a CADD contest on October 13, 2023. The contest was open to students from all engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. A total of 76 students participated in the contest. The participants were given a set of requirements for designing a building. They were required to draw the building plans using CADD software. The participants were also required to be creative in developing basic and advanced amenities in the construction sector. The contest was judged by a panel of experts from the construction industry. The winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates. The CADD contest was a great success. It provided an opportunity for students to showcase their skills in building design and construction. The contest also helped to promote creativity and innovation in the construction sector.
