TWO DAYS HANDS ON TRAINING ON BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING IN ARCHITECTURE,ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Hands-on Training event took place on 16.02.24  & 19.02.24  at III Year class room . The event was organized by Civil Department for third year civil & PG structural students and aimed to provide participants with practical skills and knowledge about BIM and its applications in the construction industry. The training agenda included a mix of presentations, hands-on exercises, and discussions to cover a wide range of topics related to BIM. The sessions included:

1.    Introduction to BIM: An overview of BIM concepts, methodology, and its importance in the construction industry.

2.    BIM Software Tools: A demonstration of popular BIM software tools and their features.

3.    Hands-on Exercises: Participants engaged in practical exercises to create BIM models from scratch, applying the concepts learned.

4.    Collaborative BIM: Strategies for effective collaboration in BIM projects, including sharing models and data with team members.

5.    BIM for Project Management: Using BIM for project management, coordination, clash detection, and 4D scheduling.

6.    Implementation Strategies: Best practices and strategies for implementing BIM in organizations, including overcoming challenges.

The BIM Hands-on Training event was a success, providing participants with valuable skills and knowledge that they can apply in their professional work. The event concluded with a networking session where participants had the opportunity to interact with industry experts and fellow attendees, fostering further learning and collaboration.
