Field Visit to VKP Geotech, Coimbatore, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

Department of Civil Engineering in association with Indian Geotechnical Society organized a one day field visit related to geotechnical engineering to VKP Geotech, Coimbatore for the students of III Year Civil Engineering and II Year Structural Engineering on 13.11.2024. 

Students were taken to the field at Thudiyalur where the soil exploration process by Rotary drilling method and sample collection by Standard Penetration Test was elaborated. Later they were taken to the laboratory of VKP Geotech at Saibaba colony, Coimbatore where they were exposed to different labortory testing methods to determine the soil properties. Students gained more practical knowledge during the visit.
