A one-day hands-on training session on "Robotic Welding - Linear Programming" was conducted under the guidance of Dr. B. Arulmurugan, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering. The session provided practical exposure to programming and operating a MIG-based robotic welding system. Students learned to set up the robot, ensure safety compliance, and perform linear interpolation for precise weld paths. Interactive sessions clarified programming techniques and troubleshooting methods. The training enhanced students’ understanding of robotic welding and industrial automation. Participants appreciated the practical experience and requested more advanced workshops. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the coordinator.
