A Hackathon to popularise the United Nations' sustainable development goals among the engineering students named SDGATHON 25 was conducted by the Civil department of KPR institute of engineering and technology Coimbatore in association with IEEE,IEEE SIGHT and the student chapter of IEEE of the institute. A total of 377 students from selected engineering colleges state wide participated in the event and submitted their innovative software, products, proof of concept, and working models. Of them, the outstanding 20 projects were awarded prizes and the topmost four were awarded special and cash prizes. Every participant was gifted with a tree sapling and a brochure related to water conservation marking the International Water Day. For the successful conduct of the event, on behalf of Dr.K.P. Ramasamy, the Chairman, and Coordinators of the event of Civil department.
