Summary

The one-credit course on MATLAB Fundamentals was successfully conducted on October 22, 2024, for the II and III-year Mechatronics Engineering students of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology. The session was coordinated by Dr. Sharmi Ganguly and Mr. Tamilselvan Ganesan, with the guidance and support of Prof. Dr. Kiruba Shankar R, Head of the Department.

The course was delivered by resource persons from MathWorks, Dr. Souvick Chatterjee (Senior Team Lead) and Mr. Gowtham Rajmohan (Senior Application Engineer), who conducted comprehensive sessions on MATLAB fundamentals, practical applications, and real-time simulation tasks.

Students gained hands-on experience and a deeper conceptual understanding of MATLAB through well-structured lectures and live demonstrations. Assessments were conducted to evaluate learning outcomes, and the students showed active participation with positive feedback.

The event met its objective of equipping students with essential computational skills and enhanced their readiness for engineering analysis using MATLAB. The course significantly contributed to their technical competency and analytical thinking.
