Inauguration of Civil Engineering Student Association, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

The Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, successfully organized the Civil Engineering Student Association Inauguration for the academic year 2025–26 on 09 August 2025 at the Civil Seminar Hall. The event commenced with a prayer song, followed by the KPR Anthem and Civil Anthem. Dr. K. S. Elango, Associate Professor & Head of the Department, delivered the welcome address, and Mr. E. Dineshkanna, President of the Association, presented the annual plan. Achievers from the department were honored for their accomplishments, after which the Chief Guests, Mr. J. Vimal Devaprabhu, Manager – Training & Support, and Mr. S. Sivalingam, Application Engineer, USAM CADSoft India Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, addressed the gathering. Their insightful talk on “Civil Engineering Softwares and Its Scope” highlighted the importance of CAD/BIM tools, career opportunities, and industry expectations, with a special mention of the upcoming Autodesk Revit Architecture Certification Course, design competition training, and the provision of 2,000 free Autodesk software licenses for students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. R. Ashlin Roshma, Vice President of the Association, followed by a tea break and the expert lecture session. The inauguration was marked by excellent coordination among the office bearers and enthusiastic participation from faculty and students, setting a positive tone for the year’s activities.
