The ASCE Student Chapter of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology organized ASCE Connect for the first-year Civil Engineering students on 19th September 2025. The office bearers of the ASCE Student Chapter interacted with the freshers and gave an overview of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). They highlighted the importance of professional membership, the benefits of joining ASCE, and the wide range of opportunities available such as technical events, competitions, networking, and knowledge-sharing platforms. The office bearers also guided the students on the procedure to become a member and encouraged them to actively participate in future ASCE initiatives at both the institutional and global levels.
The session helped first-year students understand the value of ASCE membership and inspired them to take the first step towards becoming part of a global civil engineering community.
