Department of Biomedical Engineering organized guest lecture on "Advances in Artificial skin and grafting for burn care" for the students. The session was handled by Dr. T. Krishnakumar from Royal Care Super specialty Hospital, Coimbatore. He discussed about the anatomy and physiology of skin, types of burns, materials used as substitutes for skin and commonly available skin substitutes.
