The Awareness Session on Lean Construction Management was successfully conducted on 17th April 2026 at Thanam Hall, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology.
The session commenced with an introduction to the topic, followed by a formal welcome to the resource persons. The guests were honored by the Head of the Department.
The technical session was delivered by Dr. K. Marimuthu, Technical Secretary, Institute for Lean Construction Excellence, along with industry experts from URC Construction Pvt. Ltd.
The session covered key aspects of Lean Construction methodologies, including principles of waste minimization, value enhancement, and efficient project management. Real-time case studies from industry practices were also presented, providing practical insights into implementation.
A tea break was arranged between sessions, followed by continued discussions on Lean methods and case studies. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A and Plus Delta discussion, encouraging participant engagement and feedback.
The program ended with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants.
