The three-day Value Added Course on “AutoCAD (Advanced Level)” was successfully conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering, KPRIET, from 22.12.2025 to 24.12.2025 at the NMS Laboratory. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from II-Year Civil Engineering students.
During the course, students gained practical exposure to advanced AutoCAD functionalities including precision drafting, layer customization, advanced editing commands, dimensioning standards, block creation, layouts, plotting techniques, and preparation of detailed engineering drawings. Hands-on sessions enabled participants to apply the concepts directly and improve their drafting efficiency.
The sessions conducted by Mr. S. Vinoth provided valuable insights into industry-oriented drafting practices and modern documentation standards used in civil engineering projects. By the end of the programme, students demonstrated improved proficiency in developing professional-quality drawings and enhanced confidence in using AutoCAD for academic and industry applications. The programme successfully achieved its intended learning outcomes and received positive feedback from the participants.
