Summary
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Students' Association SPARTRANZ and IETE students forum organized a TECH TALK on 11.03.2023. 25 students from second and third year ECE was participated in this event. Students are given with topics in the emerging areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering like Internet of Things, 5G technology, etc. Students participated in this event with full involvement. Few important points shard by students regarding IoT are, The term IoT, or Internet of Things, refers to the collective network of connected devices and the technology that facilitates communication between devices and the cloud, as well as between the devices themselves. IoT networks can be classified into four broad classes as follow.
Cellular networks like LTE-M, NB-IoT, etc.
LAN/PAN like Bluetooth, WiFi, etc.
LPWAN like LoRaWAN, Sigfox, etc.
Mesh protocols like RFID, ZigBee, Z-wave, etc.
Points related to 5G technology are,

5G wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra low latency, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability, and a more uniform user experience to more users. Higher performance and improved efficiency empower new user experiences and connects new industries.
The biggest difference between 4G and 5G is latency. 5G promises low latency under 5 milliseconds, while 4G latency ranges from 60 ms to 98 ms. In addition, with lower latency comes advancements in other areas, such as faster download speeds. Potential download speeds.

The fact that 5G has a spotty worldwide reach and is currently only available in a few locations is its major drawback. The 5G network will primarily benefit cities; remote areas may not receive coverage for several years. The costs for installing tower stations are very high compared to other networks.
