KPRIET-NSS One Week Special Camp at Solakkanai village                                        A one-week special camp to the rural areas of Solakkanai , Burgur is expedited with 50 student volunteers and 5 faculty co-ordinators of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, as part of the "Youth Role in Clean India" scheme from 10/04/2023 to 16/04/2023.
The inauguration of the camp was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr.M.Akila, the Principal of the institution, along with the Registrar and the Director of Student Affairs and Planning. After the inauguration ceremony, the event commenced with expert talks by the dignitaries who shared their valuable insights on the significance of community service and the camp with volunteers. They quoted that these types of activities will actively involve students aiming the betterment of our society. Our partners in this noble cause includes the Forest Department of Tamilnadu - Erode Division, NGO- Sudar Welfare Association Sathy, TN Tribal Welfare Association, Solakkanai Panchayat, and the public. It includes awareness programs like providing access to education, healthcare, and other basic necessities, as well as creating initiatives that promotes the economic developments necessary for uplifting the society. The student volunteers showed keen interest during the camp and expressed their willingness to actively participate in similar activities hereafter. The commitment of the Institute towards the promotion of creating a social change in the society is highly encouraged by the tribal people. It also encouraged the students to take active roles in community services and promoting their values of social responsibility. It is hereby hoped that similar events of this kind will inspire more young people to come forward and contribute towards the betterment of society thereby inducing a positive impact in the society.
