The “Welcome Engineers” Orientation Programme was organized by the ASCE Student Chapter, KPRIET, on 01 October 2026 from 2:20 PM to 4:00 PM for first-year Civil Engineering students. The programme focused on introducing students to Civil Engineering, ASCE, and the opportunities available through the student chapter.
The programme commenced with Ms. Kirubashreevardhini, President, ASCE Student Chapter, delivering the welcome and introduction. Mr. S. Elavarasan, Faculty Coordinator gave an introduction to the KPRIET ASCE Student Chapter, highlighting its activities, opportunities and role in student development. Ms. Bhavya, Vice President, further elaborated on the ASCE Student Chapter and its activities.
The icebreaker activity was organized by Ms. Vaishali and Ms. Sankeerna, encouraging first-year students to interact and get to know one another. Ms. Aaradhana and Ms. Bhavya conducted an interactive Civil Engineering Domain Identification Game, helping students understand the diverse domains of Civil Engineering in an engaging manner.

The active involvement of the ASCE team in planning and conducting the sessions also demonstrated student leadership, teamwork and organizational skills.
