INTRODUCTION
The Smart Home and Building Automation Laboratory, powered by Schneider Electric, provides a hands-on platform for students and professionals to experiment with and develop innovative solutions for the smart home industry. Smart Home and Building Automation refers to the use of advanced control systems to automate and optimize various aspects of a building’s operation, including lighting, HVAC systems, energy consumption, and security. Leveraging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and cloud computing, smart homes are transforming the way people interact with their living spaces. The students gain practical experience in designing and integrating automation systems, ensuring their homes are more efficient, secure, and environmentally friendly.
