Outcome:
The students who participated in this event were able to learn, Solar panels and arrays with Solar PV Panels and Efficiency. Types of Solar power plants, types of wires that are used in each part of a Solar PV power plant. Student were able to visit the 5kW Soar power plant in the college and get insights on the working and installations of solar panels.
Event Report:
The Event "Solar Power Plant Design and Management" organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, started sharply at 9.00 a.m. in the Elective Hall. First, the welcome address was delivered by Mr. N. Udhayakumar followed by the speech of the chief guest Dr. Matheswaran Alagu. Then the lecture started with a summary of the previous lecture. The lecture continued on the Efficiency of Solar PV modules. Then a brief introduction to wire types used in Solar power plant and their configurations. Finally, the student were able to visit the 5kW Solar power plant implemented in the college to get experience and insights on the working and implementation of Solar power plant. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Sanjay. S
